Bath Artisan Market

There’s only one thing that could have made the 7th Bath Artisan Market better and that is sunshine we had last weekend…..remember?!  But being completely under a glass roof there is never any fear of being rained upon, which is just as well because you need time to absorb the loveliness on offer from our local artisan makers.  And how fortunate we are to have such wonderful talent on our doorstep. Seriously guys if you have been meaning to pay a visit to this monthly market but have yet to do so then may I suggest you mark the second sunday of June (the 9th)  in your diary’s now!  Call me optimistic but I do believe, given time, that this market will grow into something quite unique. It could do with a few more stalls and perhaps more food stalls from the farmers market the day before but essentially what we have here is a market of people making and selling quality  hand made / produced goods in a fabulous setting.  London’s Greenwich market springs to mind.

I’ve gathered a selection of photos from this months market in the hope that I can tempt you along to next months market to support our fabulous artisan makers.

Just as I was leaving I came across these little fellas and thought they were so daft...they made me smile! www.stitch-ink.co.uk

Now then... at first glance you can be forgiven for wondering what this stall is all about. It's really very simple. Bring along and donate any unwanted crafting/haberdashery stuff - fabric - buttons - knitting needles etc and part exchange for goods on display. You simply offer a price if you see something you like. You don't need to have bought something to exchange you can browse and buy. It's one of those stalls that sucks you in!
